How does it work?

During the process of venting crankcase pressure back through your intake track, large amounts of oil, in the form of vapors, intake tube, intake manifold runners and even dilute your gas, lowering its octane level. This happens on all engines and is even worse with forced inducted vehicles (supercharged and turbocharged) as crankcase pressures are increased. To combat this, we have developed an oil separator of our own design. Milled from solid billet aluminum this is a rock-solid piece. It has a knurled tank base for easy removal to drain the spent oil and an O-ring seal to prevent any leaks.

Filtering consists of a fine mesh stainless steel screen that traps fine oil vapors and releases them once heavy enough to fall. They then pass through a 1/2" thick 1/16th" aluminum honeycomb filter where they grow every larger and then fall into the bottom. By the time the oil gets through the filter it's too heavy to be passed on into the intake. The tank holds 3 oz of fluid, while that may not sound like a lot, you shouldn’t see that much oil in your PCV system. Drain it every 2000-3000 miles and you will never come close to filling it.

TUBE DESIGN
The JLT intake tube is 4 1/4" ID, roto molded plastic to resist engine heat and keep the intake air charge nice and cool. NO METAL TUBING HERE!! The tube has a smooth taper to the throttle body which increases air speed and horsepower. 4" at the throttle body end so if you ever upgrade your TB you just need a 4" coupler to match the tube to it.

JLT completely redesigned this kit in 2018. With the development and gains of their new Hellcat kit they decided to make some improvements to their 2011-19 5.7 Hemi car intake.


This kit includes a fully Roto Molded airbox that has an opening in the front to grab fresh air from the grille/headlight area and also seals to the hood. They feel this is the key component that puts their kit well above the rest.


Their air filter is a custom built design made by S&B. It has a built in bell mouth for super smooth and fast air flow as well as huge 1" deep pleats for more surface area than filters that look much bigger.


The intake tube is roto molded plastic with a huge 5" filer opening for superior airflow and NO heat soak like metal tubes. With a mouth of 4" at the throttle body end, it is ready for any larger throttle bodies that may come in the future.


FINISH OPTIONS
Standard finish is an OEM looking black textured plastic.


HEAT SHIELD
Includes new roto molded plastic heat shield to block engine heat at idle and low speed. It uses a large area to make sure the filter has tons of cool air.

JLT has jumped into the Hellcat intake market with both feet. They have owned a 2016 Hellcat Charger and have been testing and designing this kit the entire time.


This kit includes a fully Roto Molded airbox that uses the factory fresh air (Ram Air) inlet from the grille/headlight that also seals to the hood. They feel this is the key component that puts their kit well above the rest. Not only does this box help keep inlet air temps down by blocking the filter from hot engine heat, it also helps hold in the cool air getting rammed in from the inlet creating a high pressure area around the filter.


Speaking of the filter, their filter is a custom built design made by S&B. It has a built in bell mouth for super smooth and fast air flow as well as huge 1" deep pleats for more surface area than filters that look much bigger.


The intake tube is roto molded plastic with a huge 125mm for superior airflow and NO heat soak like metal tubes. With a mouth of 4.5" at the throttle body end, it is ready for any larger throttle bodies that may come in the future.


MAF and IAT adaptor plates
2015/16 Hellcats have a Mass Air Flow sensor and 2017-2019 have an Inlet Air Temp sensor. They designed their kit to work with BOTH. Included in each kit are CNC machined aluminum plates, gasket and stainless screws to adapt to either model years.


HEAT SHIELD
Includes new roto molded plastic heat shield to block engine heat at idle and low speed.


RAIN SHIELDS
Each kit comes with custom designed and water jet cut Lexan shields that bolt to the hood grille. Not only do they keep rain from the filter, they allow the cooler rammed air to stay in the box around the filter VS just being pushed out of the grille.
